What We Don't Use

No advertising cookies

We do not use any cookies for advertising or ad targeting. There are no pixels, beacons, or tracking tags from ad networks on our site.

No analytics tracking

We do not run Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, Hotjar, or any similar third-party analytics platform. We have no interest in building a behavioural profile of our users.

No cross-site tracking

We do not use cookies or fingerprinting techniques to track you across other websites. Our cookies are scoped entirely to simplicefr.com and serve no purpose outside of it.

No social media trackers

There are no Facebook Pixel, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, or TikTok tracking snippets on our platform. Social sharing buttons, if ever added, will not load third-party scripts by default.

Third-Party Cookies

Stripe

When you visit our billing or upgrade pages, Stripe may set cookies on your device for fraud prevention and secure payment processing. These cookies are governed by Stripe's own Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.

No other third parties

As of the date of this policy, Stripe is the only third party that may set cookies on your device via SimpliCEFR. If this changes, we will update this page and notify registered users.

Managing Cookies

Browser controls

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when a cookie is set. Consult your browser's help documentation for specific instructions.

Impact of disabling cookies

Disabling essential cookies (session and CSRF tokens) will prevent you from logging in and using authenticated features. Disabling functional cookies will mean your preferences and usage count are not remembered between visits. The core text simplification tool remains available without any cookies for non-logged-in users.

Local storage

Browser local storage can be cleared through your browser's developer tools or site settings (usually under "Site Data" or "Cookies and Site Data"). Clearing it will reset your stored usage count and level preference.
